We are delighted to be back at Burton Sailing Club on Foremark Reservoir for this winter event. SAUNA & COLD PLUNGE AVAILABLE DURING AND POST-EVENT! Post-event contrast therapy. Book a 50-minute wood-fired sauna session and warm up properly after The Big Chill (who wouldn't want that in the depths of January?!) Sauna and cold plunge sessions are available to everyone attending, whether competing, spectating, or part of the crew. About the event; THE BIG CHILL WINTER RACE ❄️🏁 4km or 12km Lap Race The big chill is back!! but we have a new home - Foremark Reservoir, Derby Join us on Saturday 17th January 2026. On water start, on water finish. Expect a mix of left and right turns within the route. For those doing 4km. You are one and done! For those doing 12km, 3 times a charm. This is all about paddling, save your running for getting to the front of the cafe queue for your celebratory hot chocolate. Fun friendly vibes, everyone welcome.
